• “Real prevention begins with a dose of Newcastle disease vaccine, strain B1… to keep your poultry safe…” Based on the inquiries we receive from our followers regarding the Newcastle disease vaccine, we would like to present to you the freeze-dried Newcastle disease vaccine, strain B1, against Newcastle disease virus disease.

A- Composition

2- This vaccine contains the B1 strain, prepared in embryonic chicken eggs and freeze-dried.

3- This vaccine contains 106.5 EID and half a dose. The infectious dose for the embryo is 50 doses.

4- This vaccine is manufactured according to international standards, the British Pharmacopoeia, and FAO guidelines.

B- Method of Use:

1- It is preferable to administer this vaccine at early ages (day one) by coarse spray exposure using (special equipment modified for a 130-150 micron aerosol).

2. This vaccine can be used after the first dose, according to vaccination guidelines.

3. This vaccine is suitable for vaccinating laying hens.

4. The preferred strain for vaccination at 1 day of age is the one with the lowest pathogenicity, according to the sequence, whether the strain is available or not.

5. The vaccination is repeated using the same methods and spray volume.

6. The B1 strain is used at 7 to 8 days of age and repeated with the same strain. It can also be used at 5 to 16 days of age, or any day before 20 days. This applies to both broiler and layer chickens.

8. Using the B1 strain is preferred to avoid a slight decrease in egg production in laying hens.

9. This program, method, age of chicks, number of vaccinations, and preferred strains at each stage are sufficient to provide complete immunity to the flock.

C. Vaccination via Drinking Water:

1. The water should be kept at room temperature for 2-4 hours before vaccination.  2. The water must be clean and free of any traces of disinfectants. A sufficient number of drinking containers must be provided.

D. Notes:

If shortness of breath occurs, try to postpone vaccination. However, in high-risk areas, do not postpone vaccination and use the weakest strain of Newcastle disease virus, in addition to using appropriate antibiotics.

E. Recommendations:
1. Store the freeze-dried vaccine at 2-8°C (normal refrigerator) until the expiration date.

2. Dispose of all empty vials immediately.

3. Storing the vaccine in deep freezers (e.g., -15°C or -20°C) is not recommended.

F. Packaging:

Vaccines are available in 1000-dose and 2500-dose packs.
