Bovine tristeze disease is characterized by rapid recovery after medical intervention. It typically begins to appear and spread in April and May and is not transmissible to humans. It usually lasts three days. Symptoms include: sudden onset of fever reaching 41 degrees Celsius, excessive salivation, and discharge. (May 14, 2025)
