peste des petits Ruminants (PPR)

To all employees, dealers, doctors, technicians, sheep and goat breeders…. It is consideredpurse PPR disease…

An acute, highly contagious and rapidly spreading viral disease that affects small ruminants such as goats, sheep and deer, and small ruminants are more sensitive to the disease than large and adult

Once infected with it, goats and sheep develop fever, emaciation, discharge from the nose and eyes, difficulty breathing, sore gums, lips and tongue, erosion of the nasal mucosa, severe diarrhea. The affected animals become depressed, very weak and severely dehydrated in a matter of days.

Pathogenicity

the disease is caused by a virus (para mix oviridae) from family (morbil ivirus)  belonging to the genus and once the virus appears, it can infect 90% of any herd of animals and kill the disease up to 70% of infected animals.

Infection

The main entrance to infection is through the nose, inhalation of air (droplets) contaminated with the virus, and from contact with healthy animals with the infected, and infection can be through eating feed, contaminated water, droplets and secretions of infected animals

Treatment

There is no specific treatment, but antibiotics are recommended to prevent bacterial infections that come after a viral infection .Prevention

Taking care to vaccinate animals according to the vaccination programs with the approved vaccine, which contributes to the protection of animals, reducing their infection and alleviating the pathological symptoms in the event of infection

The vaccine is dissolved in a cold dilute solution according to the number of doses recorded on the bottle (vials) so that the final dose for each animal (1 ML) is injected under the skin in the area behind the shoulder under the armpit and the vaccine immunizes animals with a supporting dose one year after the first dose and the vaccine is given sheep and goats after three to four months of age

(That is, the vaccination protocol is based on vaccination for two consecutive years followed by vaccination of young animals (after3months of age ).

The vaccine is currently available in our company’s stores after the immunological efficiency of the vaccine has been reviewed, which has been widely used by a large number of breeders and gave important results by immunizing against the disease.the vaccine packs consist of (10mlvial) containing(100 a dose) and dissolving the vaccine in a cold diluted physiological salt solution..The final dose for each animal is ((1 ML )) and the vaccine is stored at a temperature of 2_8 degrees Celsius……..You can contact the company directly for processing…
