The Council of ministers, in its session held on December 17, 2024, directed ministries and entities not related to the ministry and all governorates to adopt transparency in the announcement of tenders. The directive stressed the non-mention or identification of the name of a particular company, and only referring to the specifications required to ensure the achievement of the principle of transparency and Justice.
The council also stressed the need not to purchase foreign products when the national product is available, in line with the provisions of Article (30/II) of the federal general budget law for fiscal years 2023-2024-2025 (No. 13 of 2023), in order to enhance the support of local industries and the development of the national economy.
This directive comes within the framework of the government’s efforts to promote local production and encourage reliance on national resources in order to achieve development the Council of ministers directs the support of the national product and the adoption of transparency in tenders……
As the only local product covered by the protection included in the National Product Guide issued by the Ministry of planning, and for a not too short period our vaccine products have passed the required tests….
